H2A requirements

Check that you meet the eligibility criteria and start collecting your documents. You can submit your application before every document is ready.

Eligibility criteria

18 years or older at the date of departure
Valid South African citizenship or permanent residence
Physically able to perform seasonal farm labour
No unresolved criminal record or previous US visa refusal you have not disclosed
Willing to return to South Africa at the end of the contract season

Valid South African passport
Must remain valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in the United States.
Certified South African ID document
Certified copy, not older than three months.
SAPS police clearance certificate
Issued within the last six months. We can guide you through the application.
Medical fitness certificate
From a registered practitioner, confirming fitness for physical farm work.
Agricultural work references
Contactable references covering your farming experience and skills.
Bank confirmation letter
Needed for wage payments and consulate documentation.
