The placement journey
How the H2A process works
The H2A visa allows US farms to employ foreign seasonal workers when local labour is not available. Here is what happens from the moment you apply through PSI-G.
- 01
Online application
Complete the four-step application form with your personal details, passport information and agricultural experience. Your progress is saved as you go.
- 02
Document verification
Our team reviews your passport, South African ID, police clearance and medical certificate against US Department of Labor requirements and tells you exactly what is outstanding.
- 03
Employer matching & interview
Once verified, we present your profile to US agricultural employers recruiting for your skill set and coordinate the interview.
- 04
Petition & consulate appointment
Your employer files the H2A petition. We prepare you for the DS-160 form and your interview at the US Embassy or Consulate in South Africa.
- 05
Travel & arrival
With your visa issued, we assist with flights, arrival logistics and your first-week orientation on the farm.
Applications for each season close once employer quotas are filled. Submitting early gives you the best chance of placement.
